- You may only point alt.qa at websites and apps you own or are authorised to test.
- Our agents act as your authorised agent within the scope you sign in a Test Authorization.
- Every run stops before payment unless it is in a sandbox.
- Our findings are evidence of observed behaviour, not a guarantee of compliance or conversion.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you (the customer) and alt.qa, operated by TheWorkCompany (“alt.qa”, “we”). If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can bind it.
2. Authorised testing
You warrant that you own, or have written authority to test, every property you add to alt.qa, and that testing does not breach a contract with a third party (for example a platform, payment provider or host). Before any run you sign a Test Authorization stating the properties, environments, permitted actions (Observe, Act, Commit), windows and expiry. Within that scope our agents act as your authorised agent.
Third-party embeds found on your pages — single sign-on, payment iframes, chat widgets — are run in Observe mode only unless their owner has authorised testing.
3. What our agents will never do
- Complete a live payment. Runs stop before pay; card entry is limited to test cards and sandboxes.
- Bypass CAPTCHAs, bot walls or access controls. A block is recorded as a finding.
- Impersonate a consumer AI agent or a person. Requests are signed with our own identity (see /bot).
- Exceed the rate limits in your Rules of Engagement or ignore 429 / Retry-After.
4. Your data
You own your content, recordings, findings and evidence. We process them to provide the service under our Data Processing Agreement and AI addendum. We do not train models on your data.
5. Findings and limitations
Alt Matrix results describe what specific agents and simulated personas did on a specific date with specific model versions. They are not a statement that a property is accessible, compliant, secure or “agent-ready”, and they are not legal advice. See the limitations statement.
6. Fees
Self-serve plans are billed monthly in advance and metered on cells; overage bands are published on pricing. Pilot fees are credited against the first annual subscription signed within the pilot’s conversion window. You can cancel a self-serve plan at any time from the billing page.
7. Liability
Each party’s aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid or payable in the 12 months before the claim, with a separate super-cap of two times that amount for breach of data-protection obligations. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Actions outside an authorised scope are not covered by the cap.
8. Suspension and termination
We may pause runs immediately if a property’s owner withdraws authorisation, a stop protocol is triggered, or testing risks harm to a third party. Either party may terminate for material breach not cured within 30 days.
